With the objective of continuing to position medical tourism in the country, Grupo Rescue participates in the "Dominican Annual Tourism Exchange" (DATE) held on May 3, 4 and 5, during which important negotiations are carried out between travel agents, tour operators and the main tourism suppliers in the Dominican Republic.
The event provided a perfect platform to promote the modern and ambitious hospital project "Sanitary City Grupo Rescue Punta Cana " which consists of 4 stages where the first of them has already been completed which consists of the expansion and modernization of the surgical rooms, recovery area and observation and neonatal.
Currently the second stage, which consists of the construction of the Ambulatory Tower, a new 5-story building that houses Imaging and Laboratory areas, 42 medical specialties and the expansion of the hospitalization area to 100 beds, which will be ready for next year.
The third stage will be the construction of the Surgical Hospital, International Center for Teaching for Robotic Surgery, in which reconstructive surgeries, orthopedic prostheses, and knee and hip replacement with 10 operating rooms and 40 rooms will be carried out.
And the fourth stage is a family hotel with easy post-surgery care and early rehabilitation, with spa and wellness center, restaurant with special menus and general services, scheduled opening for 2020.
Dr. José Natalio Redondo, president of Grupo Rescue and a pioneer of tourism medicine in the Dominican Republic, explained the aggressive project to entrepreneurs and professionals of the tourism industry in the country, who gathered at the representative stand.
