Manuel Carbajo joined Grupo Rescue in February 2011 as General Director, beginning his work path at Centro Medico Punta Cana and then establishing Grupo Rescues’ corporate offices in the city of Puerto Plata to lead its development at the corporate level across the healthcare network.
Currently, he supervises the administration and financial divisions, leading several projects to expand the operational and administrative practices in our health care services. He leads the development and coordination of new projects of the owned Private Hospitals in the Dominican Republic, as well as acquiring international certifications and globalizing the network through new affiliated hospitals in Mexico and Spain; going where our travelers need us.
Before joining Grupo Rescue, he built a successful history in the hotel industry. Manuel Carbajo was Regional Director for the Caribbean Administration of AM Resorts, luxury managing hotel company throughout the Caribbean based in Philadelphia, USA which currently has 27 hotels spread throughout the Caribbean. He has been involved for over 15 years in the tourism industry prior to joining the health care sector. His vast knowledge in managing luxury hotels in positions as the Financial Comptroller for several five star hotels; opening the company’s hotels based MAC Hotels Palma de Mallorca in Spain, Hotel Princesa Yaiza Controller 5 L in Lanzarote, Spain and Financial Controller Hotel and Iberostar Costa Dorada in the Dominican Republic has proven to provide a different overview of Healthcare for the network creating a fusion of Medical Science experience with Hospitality Services.
Native from Palma de Mallorca, Spain; Manuel Carbajo obtained a degree in Administration followed by graduate classes from the School of Business at the University of the Balearic Islands. He is married to Ilia with two children.
